How to share large files with one link

Create a browser-based delivery that works in chat, a project system, or your own email without requiring recipient registration.

Working checklist0 / 5

Use this checklist here; the full reasoning stays below.

Why a link helps

The message stays small, the original files remain outside the mail attachment path, and the same URL can be placed in the system where the project is already being discussed.

Do not make a public link accidentally public

A link can be forwarded. Use a password for sensitive work, deliver that password separately, and avoid posting private delivery URLs in public channels.

Check the handoff

Open the link in a private browser window before sending when the delivery is critical. That catches missing context and overly restrictive settings.

Edge cases

Before the handoff

Does a link expose my Manager?

No. The recipient sees the public transfer experience, not the sender’s private workspace.

Can I revoke a link?

Manage the transfer from the signed-in workspace; do not assume a copied file can be recalled after a recipient downloads it.

Put the guide to work

Open the sender and follow the same sequence.
