How to send a 50 GB file for free

TransferSize’s Bronze plan accepts an individual file up to 50 GB, provided the browser, network, and available plan capacity can complete the transfer.

Working checklist0 / 5

Use this checklist here; the full reasoning stays below.

Estimate the time honestly

At 20 Mbps upload, 50 GB takes roughly 5.5 hours before overhead; at 100 Mbps, roughly 1.1 hours. Real networks fluctuate, so leave margin.

Avoid last-minute expiry mistakes

Bronze transfers can be configured up to the free seven-day maximum. Give the recipient enough time, but do not leave sensitive work available longer than necessary.

Know the boundary

The free limit is per file, not a claim that every environment will upload 50 GB instantly. Browser stability, source disk performance, and network policy all matter.

Edge cases

Before the handoff

Can I close my laptop?

Keep it awake and the upload page open until completion is confirmed.

Can I send a file larger than 50 GB?

Silver currently supports up to 250 GB per file and Gold up to 500 GB per file.

Put the guide to work

Open the sender and follow the same sequence.
