Sending and receiving
How large can a free file be?
Up to 50 GB per file, and 50 GB per transfer, on Free or without an account. Premium and Family allow 500 GB per file.
Does the other person need an account?
No. Anyone with the link can open it in a browser on a phone or computer. They only need the password if you set one.
Does TransferSize compress my files?
No. Recipients download the exact file you uploaded. Video previews stream the original too.
What if my upload stops?
Keep the tab open: it continues when you’re back online. If the tab closed, open TransferSize in the same browser within 48 hours and choose the same files to resume. How to resume.
How many people can I email a transfer to?
Up to 3 on Free, or 10 on Premium and Family.
Can someone upload files to me?
Yes, with a receive link on Premium or Family. They upload without an account, and the files land in a folder you choose.
Links and storage
How long can a transfer link last?
1 or 7 days on Free. Up to 1 year on Premium and Family.
What happens when a link expires?
It stops working and the transfer’s files are deleted. Files you keep in My Files aren’t affected.
Do files in My Files expire?
No. They stay while your account is active and within its storage. Deleted files wait in Trash for 7 days on Free or 30 days on Premium and Family.
How much storage do I get?
15 GB on Free, 1 TB on Premium and 1 TB shared on Family. Premium and Family can add 1 TB for $5 a month.
Plans and payments
What’s the difference between Premium and Family?
Premium is for one person. Family gives up to 4 people their own private accounts, sharing 1 TB of storage and 10 TB of monthly bandwidth for $29.99 a month.
Can I pay once instead of subscribing?
Yes. Choose One-time on the pricing page to pay for a single month or year that doesn’t renew.
Can I charge for a download?
Yes, from any signed-in account. Set a price in US dollars and the files unlock once payment is confirmed. How it works.
Tools and help
Can I upload through WebDAV?
No. WebDAV is read-only. On Premium and Family it lists and downloads your files in apps like Finder and File Explorer.
Is TransferSize end-to-end encrypted?
No. Files and messages travel over secure connections, and passwords are stored scrambled. What each control covers.
Where can I get help?
Email support@transfersize.com. Include the page address or transfer ID, but never send a password.
Before you send
Wait until the other person confirms the file opens before you delete your original. TransferSize shouldn’t be your only copy.
