Team workspaces: keep company files and people organized

When a project belongs to a business, one person’s collection of links can become a bottleneck. A company workspace adds managed accounts, roles, and pooled capacity so the business can organize its people and storage together.

How the files move
  1. Owner or administratorManages members and company settings.
  2. Team membersUse their own accounts and assigned roles.
  3. ClientReceives the intended delivery link.

Give each person an account

A small studio might have an owner, a project manager, and designers handling different deliveries. Managed accounts let the business organize those members without passing around one password. Each person should sign in with their own credentials and use the access assigned to their role.

Internal teamwork and client delivery stay distinct

Adding a colleague to the company and sending a client a public transfer are different actions. A client usually needs the finished files or a receive link for an intake task. Decide what that person needs before offering broader workspace access.

Pooled storage is a shared allowance

Business includes a pool of storage and a set number of managed accounts, with current allowances shown in Plans and limits. Pooling means the workspace’s capacity is shared across its use. It does not mean every member receives the entire pool as a separate private allowance.

Roles change the controls you see

Owners and administrators have company management responsibilities. A member may not see the same settings or actions. Review the membership and role before assuming that a missing control is a broken feature. Assign administration only to people who need to manage the business workspace.

Questions

Questions people ask

Does everyone share one login?

No. Use individual managed accounts and the roles assigned to them. Sharing a password makes access and accountability harder to manage.

Where are the company settings?

Sign in and open the company area if your plan and role provide access. Available controls include membership and workspace administration.

Does a client need to become a team member to download?

A normal public delivery does not require company membership. Send the intended share link and any required access instructions.
