Follow these steps

Pick something ordinary
Choose a small photo or PDF that you are comfortable sharing. Leave private documents out of your first practice run. Find the file on your device before you open the uploader.

Open the uploader
On the TransferSize home page, choose your file and check the name and size in the selected-file list. A folder is useful when you want to keep several files arranged together.

Choose how to share
Continue to the transfer details and select Create a link. Give it a recognizable title. You can explore email delivery and passwords after this first run.

Wait for completion
Keep the tab open and the device awake until Transfer ready and the completed link appear. Choosing a file does not upload it instantly.

Try the other side
Copy the finished link and open it in a private browser window. Download the file and open the downloaded copy. You have now seen what a recipient sees.
Opening the completed link privately lets you check the download without relying on your signed-in account.

Know what happens next
The whole idea in one example
Suppose your family wants the original video from a birthday. It is too large for an email attachment. You upload the video to TransferSize and send the family its download link. They open the link and save a copy. They do not need your account password, and your laptop does not need to stay online after the transfer is confirmed.
Three words you will keep seeing
Upload means send a copy from your device to the service. Download means save a copy from the service to your device. A link is the web address that opens a page. The link is not the file itself: you still need internet access to retrieve the file while the transfer is available.
Send, receive, or store?
Send a transfer when you already have the files and someone else needs them. Create a receive link when someone else has the files and you want to collect them. Use My Files in your account when you need stored files and folders you can find again. These are related tools with different purposes and limits.
What is free?
A basic free transfer supports a file up to 50 GB and temporary availability up to seven days. Recipients do not need an account to download a valid public transfer. Persistent My Files storage is a separate allowance: Free includes 15 GB. Review Plans and limits when you need more capacity or an account feature.
Start small, then choose extras
A password, a preview, an expiry date, and a download limit can be useful, but you do not need to understand every advanced tool before sending a photo. WebDAV connects a compatible file app. Live Relay handles an existing authorized live stream. Paid downloads and creator tools are for publishing or selling your own work.
Questions people ask
Does it move my original off my computer?
No. Uploading sends a copy. Keep the original or your own backup, especially for temporary transfers.
Does my relative need to install anything?
A normal valid public transfer opens in a browser without a TransferSize account. Opening the downloaded file may require an app that supports its format.
Can someone see everything in my account from a link?
A normal public transfer link shows the shared delivery, not your private workspace. Still check exactly what you included before sending.
