Let’s make the numbers simple
They sound similar, but each number answers a different question.
The single-file limit is the largest individual file you can upload. Free can send a temporary file up to 50 GB, even though its permanent library is smaller.
Storage is the total space in My Files. Think of it as a cupboard for your work: each file takes up part of the available room.
A share link is the door to a file. Closing that door doesn’t automatically remove a file kept in My Files. Temporary transfers do have a content expiry.
Recovery applies while a deleted item is still recoverable in Trash. It cannot bring back a file that has been permanently deleted.

Each video segment or requested range counts when it starts. Downloading an original video counts its full size, even if you cancel. A creator’s paid catalog or membership is a separate purchase.
No. A recipient can open a valid transfer link without a TransferSize account.
Yes. Free includes 15 GB of persistent My Files storage and temporary files up to 50 GB.
