Start with one useful folder
Imagine you are renovating a kitchen. Keep measurements, drawings, and the latest quote in a clearly named project folder. When the builder needs the drawings, prepare the relevant delivery. You do not have to expose every other document just because they belong to the same project.
- Drawings/Final plans for the builder
- Measurements.pdfThe sizes everyone is using
- Quote.pdfThe agreed project quote
Two different allowances
Space to keep. Size to send.
Total space for the work you keep in your library.
Maximum file size in the temporary-transfer workflow.
Know which limit you are looking at
Free includes 15 GB of persistent My Files storage. The free 50 GB maximum file size applies to the applicable transfer workflow; it is not 50 GB of permanent storage. Check both available space and the largest-file limit before choosing where a large project will live.
Sharing
Your files and their link have different jobs
- Your libraryManage the work in your account.
- Shared deliveryA link has its own access rules.
- Recipient’s copyA saved download is on their device.
Your library and a public link have different jobs
The library is where you manage eligible stored content while signed in. A share link gives recipients access to a particular delivery under its sharing rules. Closing or expiring a link and deleting an owner copy are separate decisions. Review the actual item before changing either.
Find your work
Where should I look?
Choose the workspace view that answers your question
Open My Files to find stored work, Sent links to review deliveries, and File requests to inspect incoming submissions. Use the available search, folder, rename, and move controls to make names and locations useful. Check the account or company context if something seems to be missing.
Questions people ask
Does a recipient see my whole library?
A public delivery link is for the shared content. Do not share account credentials, and inspect the recipient page to confirm the intended files.
Is this automatic synchronization with my computer?
Do not assume a local edit changes an uploaded copy. Use the available workspace actions and upload the intended new version.
Where can I learn about expiry?
Read the storage and expiry guide to distinguish a delivery link, persistent owner content, and temporary retention.
Give the work you want to keep a place you can find again.
